Granting Dreams Foundation

She hails from Webster, NY and her name is Kate Lee. At the young age of 17, Kate Lee is musically gifted far beyond her years. Kate and her family were introduced to Granting Dreams during their trip to Nashville, TN for Kate's performance at the Blue Bird Cafe and the Commodore Club. She was thrilled to accept the challange to write a song for the Granting Dreams Foundation. The wheels were put into motion to begin writting about a very somber subject - terminal illness. Kate co-wrote this song with her dad, William, and titled the song "When You Dream". She has eloquently captured the emotions of one facing a life-threatening medical condition. Kate and family traveled from NY to Nashville, TN to perform this song live at the Granting Dreams First Annual "Faces of Joy" charity event. Shown in picture to the right, is the Founder and Executive Director, Linda Sylvester, presenting a framed copy of the CD to Kate the night of the event after her live performance.

Granting Dreams would like to thank all those who were also eager to assist; from the recording studio who worked many hours to piece the finished recording together, to the musicians who gave their talent and time, to the photographer, whose photos grace the CD cover and the CD itself. It was certainly a group effort with Kate Lee leading the way.
